Issues
Public safety, fiscal integrity and the well being of all our people are my top priorities. I will actively support the safety of our Lynnwood families. As your representative on City Council, I promise to be effective, responsive, and accountable.
Public Safety
Your safety has to be our #1 priority. Without public safety, nothing else matters. Small crimes have increased substantially, leading to more serious crimes. We need to address this immediately so that our families are safe in our parks, streets and homes.
High Taxes
I will continue to push the city to back off the maxed-out taxes that overburden our seniors, young families, and most vulnerable. Lynnwood taxes used to be the lowest in the state. Now they are the highest. Unfortunately, people that can least afford them are hurt most. The city's coffers are full… while residents suffer. We must find solutions to reduce car tabs, utility taxes, and other financial burdens.
Growth and Development
Lynnwood's population is proposed to grow substantially in the next few years, having far reaching effects on established neighborhoods. Long term residents are the most affected, as outside developers are grabbing property and pushing up prices. We need to do more to protect the quality of life of our families.
Homelessness
Street homelessness and drug use continues to rise and is part of the drug/mental health epidemic. Associated crime is getting worse. Together we need to compassionately offer alternative solutions.
